The purpose of the Foundation is to develop, promote and finance educational programs, activities and projects for the Hollidaysburg Area School District.
The Hollidaysburg Area School District Foundation (HASDF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students within the district. It funds innovative teaching through grants, supports the Tiger Pack Program for student needs, and awards scholarships, supported by local donors and the EITC program.
Our Mission
The HASD Foundation has been providing grant funds to support the students and administrators in our district for over 20 years. To date over $700,000 has been awarded. The grants funded enhance the learning opportunities for our students. It also gives the teachers a chance to bring new and innovative ideas to their classrooms. The Foundation awarded grants for STEM Labs to all three elementary buildings, totaling over $30,000. The labs will allow hands on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The labs will have the technology and tools necessary to facilitate lessons that go beyond standard textbook learning. The mission of the Foundation is to put ideas for enhanced education into action by funding innovative programs, broadening teaching and learning opportunities and encouraging community involvement.
